 NEWS…….LOUISIANA CITIZENS PROPERTY INSURANCE  UPDATE………NEWS 

Louisiana Department of Insurance has approved changes to the Property Insurance rate levels for Personal Lines policies written by Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.  The approved rate changes are applicable to all new business and renewal policies effective January 1, 2012.  The aprroved revisions to the rates will result in an overall increase of 10% for the Fair Plan and 10% for Coastal Plan policies. The rate increase wil affect Jefferson, Orleans, St. Tammany,  Plaquemines and St. Bernard among other parishes.
